SSU aims to recruit, retain, and graduate more students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to meet the science and technology challenges faced by California and the nation. The School of Science and Technology recently established a MESA Engineering Program (MEP) to enrich the learning environment for educationally disadvantaged students so that upon graduation these students can help fill STEM-related professions. SSU MEP completes the MESA pathway for students in the northern California region that are part of the established and growing MESA Schools Programs (MSPs) and MESA Community College Programs (MCCPs) in the region.
Through strong community building, academic support programs, and a rich array of educational enrichment opportunities, our MESA program works to advance our student's achievement and success.
